Your Dream Job - February 17th, 2011

Your Dream Job

Everyone talks about finding the dream job. But these dream jobs come in all sizes and kinds. One person may imagine his or her dream job as a pilot, while another imagines teaching volleyball on the beach. Your dream job doesn’t have to be too far out of reach, if you really want it. Many people expect to find the perfect job simply by wanting it. Work needs to be put in first. Look at some of the most successful and wealthy people. Yes some of them had luck in their endeavors, but hard work was put in first. Years of medical training first went into a medical doctor before he or she became one of the most well-known doctors in the country.

However some dream jobs don’t actually exists, like being paid to do nothing. In the end there is a form of dream job for everyone. Some dream of doing nothing but reading all day. There is a job for that, though it may not be their type of reading material. Others dream of exercising all day. A job market for this has taken the world by storm: personal training.

Teaching for some is a dream job. The joy of seeing children learn can be rewarding above all other things. Teaching children other languages can be a dream job for non-native speakers. Watching children understand the difference between empregos and trabalho can be a reward in itself.

Talent and ability also need to be considered in relation to dream jobs. Some are not cut out to be accountants because they have difficulty with numbers, and others cannot write books because they lack sentence flow. Reality also needs to be considered in dream jobs, and if such a job is actually physically attainable.

How to Play Golf - January 13th, 2011

How to Play Golf

Playing golf sounds complex, and in some ways it is. The main keys to playing golf are strategy, technique, and patience. The golf rules of etiquette state that all must be played in complete fairness. How the game is played depends on the amount of experience a golfer has. Experience usually includes training in some form. To be able to perform better some may hire a golf swing trainer for one on one help.

The game of golf is typically played on a nine-hole course or an eighteen-hole course. Essentially when golf is played two or more people play at the same time. A golf ball will be placed on a tee where it will be driven in the direction of the hole.

Each hole has a specific par number, ranging from three and on up to five. It is not too often that a hole will have a par of six. Par is the number of attempts it should take from tee off to get the ball into the designated hole. Each hole’s par number is based on the distance from the tee to the green. The lower par numbers have short distances around two hundred fifty yards, while higher par numbers have longer distances up to five hundred yards. A par number will also be based on the terrain. Hills and sand traps can also increase or decrease a par number.

Score is kept by the number of attempts each person takes to get the ball into the hole. The more strokes taken, the hire the score will be. Often times a good fine par score ranges from seventy to seventy-two. The individual with the lowest score wins. However other types of golf games include other forms of winning.

Other types of golf games include match games, stroke play, skin play, stableford play, team play, foursome, scramble, and greensome. All different games have the same basic scoring but have varied ways of winning.

Alternatives To Ambien Sleeping Pills - August 4th, 2010

Alternatives To Ambien Sleeping Pills

If you haven’t heard the stories about Ambien, you have been in a hole. Major radio morning shows and stations have regular features for comedic value really on the side effects of Ambien, and the stories are plastered all over the internet! I have seen reports of people eating, smoking and drinking when they’ve never done so in their lives, and participating in other extremely odd behavior. And I have actually heard of people committing suicide within just a few short days of starting an Ambien regimen, which is of course far more tragic, but apparently still relatively rare. Either way, many of these are not acceptable. None of them are acceptable actually! So are there other alternatives?

There are other prescriptions obviously. But the number of milder versions of the hardcore options are few and far between, and they still cause many side effects. And of course, major anxiety drugs like Xanax can be a bit scary to say the least. But there are natural alternatives. There are all natural sleeping pills that can give you sleep related benefits

There are ingredients like melatonin, which is actually a naturally occurring chemical found in the brain! When it comes to things like valerian root, chamomile, and even a more powerful natural supplement known as phenibut, you are unlikely to suffer any major or even minor side effects! Though it obviously does not apply to everybody, some of these can actually be just as effective as prescription medications.

Cheap Honeymoon Ideas - May 10th, 2010

Cheap Honeymoon Ideas

Recently, a friend of mine found herself in a place where she decided that they weren’t going on a honeymoon. With the recent turbulence of the economy and the fact that both she and her fiancée were struggling to support kids as well, she just didn’t think of it as an option. They didn’t have the money. And while a bed and breakfast is cheap, she didn’t even think of that as a real option. So, on this note, a few of us decided to pitch in as a small wedding present. We had about 10 people contributing, which took down the individual cost, and we looked into various options for an affordable honeymoon trip they could take without taking too much time out of their also busy schedules.

We found a number of different sites that offered package deals. They offered all inclusive travel options that covered everywhere from Europe to Asia to Hawaii. We ended up sending them to California, the Disneyland area. But we found some killer deals for specifically a good honeymoon trip. I was surprised by the specific options they offered for a good honeymoon trip.

They had specific honeymoon suites, they had specific honeymoon entertainment, and some offered free options to newlywed couples. We found a package that covered most of their meals, all of their transportation, gave them special deals, and just gave them an all around good experience. And it cost much less to use these packages than we found when we were dividing it up in individual costs. We got some pretty nice hotels and ideas. And all in all, it was the best option we could have found to really help.

Since then, a number of us have looked into packages not only for a honeymoon trip, but for family travel, travel with friends, and all inclusive travel options. Some of us have used couch surfing, and others have taken more luxurious types of vacations. But comparing cards, I can honestly say that any vacation is better off when you look into all inclsuvie travel options, even if you are not specifically looking for a honeymoon trip.

Credit & savings - September 23rd, 2009

Credit & savings

Since the economy started to cave in this last year or so, with the credit crisis bubble pop; lenders are starting to clamp down on credit. As a result of that a lot of the credit scores have taken a hit. Now if you are concerned about having a good credit score then there’s probably some additional work you may want to do with your credit score.

I’ve often wondered why someone would want a good credit score. Sure they sell us this idea, that we need a great credit score. But our credit scores going to do for us is to have us go into more debt, we would have to borrow something to use that credit score. Maybe more important than that, would be the size of our balance sheet, our bottom line.

Budgeting so that her bottom line will increase, could be a focus that may be more important than budgeting solar credit score will increase. It’s important that we understand the value of savings versus debt. Credit has to do with debt, savings has to do with our worth, our net worth and money. What’s interesting is that if our bottom line increases our credit score will also, but perhaps not vice versa.

Get The Most Out Of Budgets - September 22nd, 2009

Get The Most Out Of Budgets

How do you get the most out of your money? Being smart with how we handle money, both outcomes than in how it goes out, is the key to surviving piece modern financial Times were in. There lots of bargains everywhere we look, but the important thing that you need to remember, is that, that thing that you’re going to buy is really something unique. We can spend a lot of money on bargains those things that are really cheap than on sale, but if it isn’t something we need were just throwing our money away.

We need to be wise as well as we need to be thrifty. There’s also value in products, which you may have to pay more for than getting the cheaper item for lower-cost that doesn’t give you the value. That could mean that the product will last longer or it will taste better, or that you get more enjoyment out of it by paying a little more. This is being wise with money and not just eating frugal or thrifty. Budgeting involves looking at the whole picture.

Financial Plans - September 15th, 2009

Financial Plans

Down in the valley from on top of the hill where I am looking from, there is a big layer of fog or clouds. Not sure what the difference is between clouds and fog. But it is that white stuff that you can’t see through to well, but you can’t walk or sit on it either. On the one hand it is solid to the eye but not the foot or butt. So when I think about how we perceive things here in this life, one sense may say one thing and another will say just the opposite. One is saying it is more real and the other is saying, no, it isn’t really there.

How do we look at our financial situation? Depends what we are looking with maybe. Or it could be by what we are looking at. I suppose we have several ways and things to look at, so we will probably see it many ways. And go figure, it is supposed to be real and easy to see or do. Not! I think it is possible to get to many ideas up in the air at one time, so the advice I think will work here is to keep it simple stupid. I’m stupid if I don’t help myself see clearly, and simple is a lot more clear. Ok, I hear myself, thank you for sharing. Next I’ll be laughing at myself, haha.

Learning Good Financial Habits Early - September 10th, 2009

Learning Good Financial Habits Early

I have often wondered what the really rich do with their money. I ask a girl who grew up in a rich wealthy family how it was. To my surprise, she told me she never got an allowance, but instead she had to work for any money she wanted. It was a family tradition she said that it was more important to learn how to handle money than to just have it.

I guess it is like the old saying; to teach a person to fish is much better than just giving someone a fish. If you give them a fish and they eat it, that is that, it’s gone. If they learn how to fish then they can feed them self the rest of their life. This girl said that when she learned that her less wealthy friends got an allowance, free money, that she was mad.

But then she saw later in life that those same friends didn’t have money now, but she had all he money she wanted, she had learned to make and keep it. I think the way of life we live as a kid can have a great influence on what we do today. If it wasn’t the best, well then we need to do a little work now.

Get Out Of Debt - September 9th, 2009

Get Out Of Debt

The grapes were hanging from the vines in the backyard like little marbles on strings. The purple color reminded me of my lips when I was a kid and had drank a glass of Welch’s grape juice and it left a big ring around my mouth. I didn’t know it was there but when I went out to play all my friends started laughing at me and I never forgot it.

How many times are we oblivious to something so plain to the whole world but we don’t see it, because we are too close to see. I think my getting into debt was something like that. A lot of people were trying to tell me not to buy that or spend all that money on those things but I didn’t know. So the debt accumulated and now I know. If you can hear me and want to avoid the embarrassment of a purple mouth, or a debt situation you can’t get out of then don’t go into debt.

If you are in debt, stop it and get out. Freedom is such a better way of life than bondage. Debt is bondage and though there may not be bars on your windows you are in prison none the less.

Investing Money - September 2nd, 2009

Investing Money

I think it’s important to understand that saving will never bring the same returns as investing in the long term. Interest will always be the most powerful with a lot of time. If you think of a savings account as a good emergency fund for cash, you still need to get the long term increase in your financial portfolio. So you definitely need an investing strategy and realistic plan.

There are always many options but the important thing to do is find the one that works for you. If you get too much risk and you don’t sleep at night, with too little, you don’t accumulate all you want. There has to be a middle road for investing so depending on where you are will indicate where your middle road presently is. For some of us, the leading edge methods of forecasting and creating wealth will be our comfort zone, for others, a simpler and rudimentary approach would feel better. Find your present position and plan your road from there.
